What Is IV Regenerative Therapy?

Wellness Therapy uses cells from your own body — not donor cells, not synthetic drugs — to support healing from within. A small amount of adipose (fat) tissue is collected during a minor outpatient procedure. From that tissue, we isolate a concentrated population of repair cells — stem cells and stromal cells — that your body naturally uses to heal damaged tissue.

How it works:

  • ✅ A small amount of adipose tissue is collected via a minor outpatient procedure under local anesthesia
  • ✅ The tissue is processed on-site the same day to isolate concentrated repair cells
  • ✅ Cells are delivered intravenously, circulating through your bloodstream to reach affected areas throughout your body
  • ✅ IV delivery is appropriate for systemic conditions — those affecting multiple organs, body systems, or structures difficult to reach directly (brain, lungs)

The cells we use come from you and are processed the same day. You have two options:

Option 1: Same-Day Return

The cells are immediately returned to you during the treatment session. No storage, no delay — your own repair cells collected and used in a single visit.

Option 2: Cryopreservation

Pure repair cells — specifically Mesenchymal Stem Cells — are isolated, carefully shipped to a licensed certified cell bank, expanded, frozen, and maintained for many years. They remain available for future use whenever needed. Similar to sperm or egg banking for IVF — your biology working for you, on your timeline.

Conditions We've Studied

Dr. Alexander's FDA-registered clinical trials cover a range of conditions. These are not speculative — they are active research protocols with structured monitoring and oversight.

Under federal legislation — including the 21st Century Cures Act and the Right-to-Try Act — patients with certain conditions that lack effective standard treatments may access investigational therapies outside of formal trial enrollment. If your condition is listed here, you may be eligible to participate in a trial or access therapy through these legislative pathways.

Chronic Pain & Pain Disorders

  • ✅ Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)
  • ✅ Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD)
  • ✅ Fibromyalgia

Severe, often debilitating pain conditions that do not always respond to standard pain management. Patients in this category have typically tried medications, nerve blocks, physical therapy, and sometimes surgery without sustained relief. Wellness Therapy is being studied to address the underlying inflammatory and nerve dysfunction that drives persistent pain.

Neurological & Brain Conditions

  • ✅ Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and concussion
  • ✅ Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Traumatic brain injury and concussion can leave lasting cognitive, emotional, and physical symptoms. ASD involves complex neurologic and inflammatory pathways that standard interventions do not fully address. Wellness Therapy is being studied for its potential to support verbal communication, socialization, bowel function, and hyperactivity. Early outcomes are very positive for patients who are post-puberty to adulthood.

ASD protocol submitted for IRB approval in 2026; Right-to-Try pathway is available for qualifying patients in this age range.

Pulmonary & Respiratory Conditions

  • ✅ Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
  • ✅ Fibrotic Lung Disorders (FLD)

COPD results from residual lung damage following long-term smoking. Fibrotic Lung Disorders result from COVID-19 viral infections or chronic chemical exposure. Both are very difficult to manage and often lead to breathing failure. Standard treatments manage symptoms but do not repair damaged lung tissue. Wellness Therapy is being studied to support tissue repair, reduce chronic inflammation, and improve breathing function.

Autoimmune & Inflammatory Conditions

  • ✅ Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn's, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis)
  • ✅ Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH)
  • ✅ Autoimmune and inflammatory conditions

IBD causes chronic inflammation within the digestive tract that often resists medication. Wellness Therapy is being studied for its anti-inflammatory and immune-modulating effects in these conditions.

Aging & Systemic Decline

Frailty and age-related decline involve loss of muscle strength, endurance, and function that reduces independence and quality of life. This is not simply "getting older" — it is a measurable, systemic process involving inflammation, reduced circulation, and decreased tissue repair capacity. Wellness Therapy is being studied as a systemic intervention to address multiple aspects of age-related decline at once.

Your Pathway Options

There are two legal pathways for accessing IV Regenerative Therapy with Dr. Alexander, depending on your condition and treatment history.

Pathway 1: FDA-Registered Clinical Trials

Dr. Alexander is an active Principal Investigator on multiple FDA-registered trials studying IV use of autologous adipose-derived stem and stromal cells. Participation means you receive treatment under a structured research protocol with defined eligibility criteria, monitoring, and follow-up.

If you qualify, participation contributes to the evidence base for these therapies and may be offered at reduced cost, depending on the trial. Not all patients will meet trial eligibility, but if your condition matches an open trial and you qualify, this is often the most appropriate pathway.

Pathway 2: Right-to-Try / 21st Century Cures Act

For patients who have a serious or life-threatening condition — or a condition that significantly reduces quality of life — and have exhausted standard treatment options without success, federal law provides a legal pathway to access investigational therapies outside of formal clinical trial enrollment.

Eligibility requires documented evidence that you have tried and failed conventional treatments, and that your condition meets the legal criteria. A consultation with Dr. Alexander is required to determine whether you qualify.

What to Expect — The Process

1. Initial Consultation

  • ✅ Our team will request and review your medical history, medications, recent blood test results, imaging (if pertinent) from you and your primary Providers for the condition
  • ✅ The goal is to determine whether regenerative therapy is appropriate for your condition and which legal pathway applies

2. Eligibility Documentation

  • ✅ For Right-to-Try patients: evidence that standard treatments have been tried and were not effective
  • ✅ For trial participants: confirmation that you meet the specific inclusion criteria for the protocol

3. Repair Cell Collection

  • ✅ A small amount of adipose tissue is collected during a minor outpatient procedure under local anesthesia
  • ✅ Typically takes 30–45 minutes and is well-tolerated by most patients

4. Cell Processing

  • ✅ Tissue is processed on-site the same day to isolate the concentrated stem and stromal cell population
  • ✅ Done in our facility under sterile conditions

Optional cryopreservation pathway: If you elect to have cryopreservation, cells are isolated and carefully shipped to a licensed, certified facility where they are expanded, frozen, and stored for long-term future needs.

5. IV Infusion

  • ✅ Cells are returned to you via intravenous infusion, usually over 20–60 minutes
  • ✅ Most patients tolerate this without difficulty

6. Follow-Up

  • ✅ Trial participants follow a structured protocol schedule
  • ✅ Right-to-Try patients follow an individualized monitoring plan based on their condition

This is not a quick fix. Regenerative therapy works by supporting your body's natural repair processes, and that takes time. Some patients report improvement within weeks; others take months. Dr. Alexander will discuss realistic timelines during your consultation.

Is Regenerative Therapy Safe

Yes, when administered properly.

Risks are minimal:

  • ✅ Bruising or soreness at the IV site (common, resolves quickly)
  • ✅ Rare allergic reactions to specific nutrients (we screen for this in consultation)
  • ✅ Infection risk is extremely low with proper sterile technique

All Regenerative IV Therapies at Regenevita Health are:

  • ✅ Administered by licensed medical professionals
  • ✅ Supervised by Dr. Alexander, a licensed physician
  • ✅ Using your own cells (autologous) — no donor cells, no synthetic drugs
  • ✅ Conducted under FDA-registered clinical trial protocols with structured monitoring

Important Considerations

IV Regenerative Therapy is investigational:

  • ❌ Not FDA-approved as a treatment for any condition
  • ❌ Not a cure or guaranteed to produce results
  • ❌ Requires thorough screening to determine eligibility

Dr. Alexander will discuss risks, benefits, and realistic expectations during your consultation.

How Is IV Delivery Different from Local Injections?

Localized Injections IV Delivery
Cells injected directly into a specific joint or tissue Cells circulate through your bloodstream, reaching multiple areas
Appropriate for localized problems (e.g., knee, shoulder, lower back) Appropriate for systemic conditions affecting multiple organs or body systems
Targets the site of injury or degeneration directly Can reach structures difficult to access with direct injection (brain, lungs)
Procedure typically completes in 30–60 minutes Infusion typically takes 20–60 minutes after cell processing

Both approaches have a place. Dr. Alexander will recommend the most appropriate delivery method based on your specific condition and treatment goals. Some patients receive both.

Who Should Consider IV Regenerative Therapy?

Good candidates:

  • ✅ People with chronic conditions that have not responded to standard treatments
  • ✅ Patients with systemic or multi-organ conditions
  • ✅ Individuals with neurological conditions (TBI, ASD, etc.)
  • ✅ Those with autoimmune or inflammatory diseases
  • ✅ People experiencing frailty or age-related decline
  • ✅ Patients seeking alternatives to invasive surgery

Not a substitute for:

  • ❌ Proper medical diagnosis and treatment of underlying conditions
  • ❌ Medications prescribed for chronic conditions
  • ❌ Emergency medical care or acute disease management
